This
week the Brookdale Students participated in a school wide PBIS (Positive Behaviors and Supports) program refresher
assembly.
The
assembly was based on the game show Jeopardy and allowed students the
opportunity to revisit our school's core values.
"Contestants"
choose category's and answered questions related to situations
or scenarios they face throughout their school day.
Each
question reinforced the importance of our school's three core values of being
RESPECTFUL
RESPONSIBLE
AND SAFE
The
assembly was broken into primary (K,1,2) and intermediate (3,4,5) grade level
sessions.
The audience participated by using the "thumbs up" or "thumbs
down" sign to show if they agreed with the answers the contestants gave.
Because
learning behavioral expectations requires multiple exposures throughout the
school year, these assemblies are beneficial in keeping our school a great
place to come each and every day.
The
assembly ended with Mr. Korbitz leading us in the Brookdale School Song!
